Our Veteran Family - The Guerreros

Mr. Guerrero was born in Chicago and moved to Belvidere when he was 10 yrs old. After high school he served for 5 years in the Marines. Stationed at Cherry Point, North Carolina he performed aviation maintenance on Harrier jets and also trained to become an MP - Military Police Officer on his base. He did one tour in Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2009 as a Sergeant.

Mrs. Guerrero has lived in Belvidere her whole life. After high school she trained to become a Dental Assistant, but has been unable to work because of health issues. She has been been diagnosed with an autonomic nervous system dysfunctionr. Along with chronic pain (Fibromyalgia) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome she has been forced to use mobility aids to help get around on harder days and to preserve her energy.

The Guerreros have been married for 12 years. In their free time they love to pray together, play with their dog, cook together, go to the park and spend time with their families.
